Note: Contact the Library (not the IT Department) if you experience technical issues with any of the licensed mobile apps. If the issue is unresolvable, we can put you in contact with the vendor and their support team.

EBSCO Mobile App

To download the EBSCO Mobile app:

  1. Download the app from the App Store or Play StoreCover art
  2. Open the app and tap the green 'Get Started' button.
  3. Search for 'Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)'. Select it and tap the blue 'Connect your Institution' button.
  4. You will receive a prompt to sign in via ebsco.zone. Tap 'Continue' and enter your library card number for remote access. Request a library card number if you don't have one.
  5. From the home screen of the app, select the person icon. Create an EBSCO account (or sign in if you already have one). An account is required to download e-Books and to sync your downloaded/saved content across multiple devices.

To download the library's EBSCO e-Books within the app:

  1. Select the magnifying glass icon and search for a book by its title. Each search result will indicate if it's an e-Book or a journal article.
  2. Select the book you want and tap the blue "Download e-book" button (note: you will have to tap it a second time after a number appears to indicate how many days you be able to borrow the book).
  3. The full-text should now appear on your screen. You can see the full list of books you have checked out by selecting the heart icon in the app and then 'E-books'.

Note: Some books will not be available to download in the app because only 1 copy is available. These books can still be viewed in full-text by accessing them on our website in the e-Books A-Z list.

Downloading and reading e-Books has been made easier! The EBSCO Mobile app expands the reach of the library by making research quickly available via an easy-to-use interface to users wherever they might be. The app gives users access from anywhere to the library’s EBSCO subscriptions. Easily download e-Books and read them within the app, even when offline. You can also locate journal articles (ex. from CINAHL Plus) and read or request the full-text from within the app. By creating an EBSCO account, you are able to download the e-Books and sync across desktop and mobile devices in order to view your saved content from anywhere.
