Technical Issues

Note: Contact the Library (not the IT Department) if you experience technical issues with any of the licensed mobile apps. If the issue is unresolvable, we can put you in contact with the vendor and their support team.

EBSCO Mobile App

Downloading Instructions

  1. Download the app from the App Store or Play Store
  2. Open the EBSCO mobile app on your device
  3. Tap the green 'Get Started' button
  4. Enter 'Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)' into the search bar
  5. Tap the blue 'Connect your Institution' button.
  6. Enter your SHA Library Card Number when prompted to sign in via ebsco.zone and click the Log-in button. Request a library card number if you don't have one. 

Note: To download books and sync your content across multiple devices you will need to create a personal account in the EBSCO mobile app

Create a Personal EBSCO Account in this Mobile App

  • Click the person icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app
  • Click the Create an Account tab
  • Complete the form by entering your personal information and creating a password

Already have a personal EBSCO Account?

  • Click the “Sign in to MyEBSCO” tab and enter your email and password

Instructions for Downloading e-Books

  1. Click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your screen and search for a book by its title
    Note: search results will indicate if the item is an e-Book or journal article
     
  2. Select the eBook you want to read and tab the blue Download e-Book button (if more than one copy is available in the collection)
  3. Tap the blue Download e-Book button again after the number indicating how many days you can borrow the book appears

Note:

  • Click on the heart icon in the app to see a full list of e-Books that you checked out
  • Some e-Books will not be available for download because there is only one copy
  • These books can still be viewed in full-text by accessing them on our website in the e-Books A-Z list

Downloading and reading e-Books has been made easier! The EBSCO Mobile app expands the reach of the library by making research quickly available via an easy-to-use interface to users wherever they might be. The app gives users access from anywhere to the library’s EBSCO subscriptions. Easily download e-Books and read them within the app, even when offline. You can also locate journal articles (ex. from CINAHL Plus) and read or request the full-text from within the app. By creating an EBSCO account, you are able to download the e-Books and sync across desktop and mobile devices in order to view your saved content from anywhere.
